Cause Analyses on Audit Failure for Material Asset Reorganization
More and more audits failure incidents are occurring with the material asset reorganizations of listed companies in China.It is imperative to standardize the capital market and safeguard the interests of the public.The paper takes Lixin accounting firm as an example to analyze the auditing failure that Guangxi Kanghua Agriculture Co.,Ltd.had a financial fraud in the material assets reorganization with Zhejiang Busen Garments Co.,Ltd.It is found that the financial fraud of the audited entity is the root cause of the audit failure; the auditors failure to perform the necessary auditing procedures is the direct cause; the lack of supervision by the regulatory authority is an important cause.Some recommendations are put forward to prevent the failure of material asset reorganization audits.
