PARALLEL LOAD BALANCING CAPABILITIES IN FOAM-EXTEND
The majority of todays simulations using FOAM are run in parallel.In order to use,the allocated computational nodes efficiently,it is important that the computational load is distributed equally across the computational nodes while minimising the communication overhead.This process is known as partioning.For an Eulerian problem on a static mesh,it is usually sufficient to partition the mesh before starting the solver application using METIS or SCOTCH by running decomposePar.
