Semi Quantitative Risk Analysis and RIL-Ternary Diagram Method as Decision Support Tools for Environmental Projects
In thiscontribution, twomethods for decisionsupport of environmentalprojects are presented: Semi-quantitative risk analysis and RIL-Ternary Diagram Method. In environmental projects, such as site-remediation or clean-up process for contaminated sites,a so-called “SYSTEMATIC RISK-ANALYSIS is a useful tool in “RISK-MANAGEMENT for the assessment of risks and elaboration of prevention/mitigation measures for negative events and environmental impacts to whicht the project may be exposed.Additionally, the “RIL-Ternary Diagram considers three treatment categories for waste according to the waste hierarchy: Recycling & Composting,Incineration and Landfilling.By using this method, dynamic visualization of waste management performance can be performed. Here, municipal waste management performance of EU 28 and selected member states is given.Dynamic visualisation conceptualizes time in the form of diagrams and thereby helps us to analyse waste management development.
