A Study on the Effect of Corrosion Prevention in Water Distribution System by Galvanized Brass-Zinc Tube
This research was carried out to investigate the corrosion prevention effect in the water distribution system by galvanized brass-zinc tube(GBT)which is using potential between brass and zinc as laboratory-scale.As a result of this study,pH and conductivity of influent were constant in spite of its installation,and it was difficult to estimate the effect of the installation with temporary increased and reduced concentration of Zn and Fe ions,respectively.Since the corrosion rate depending on the GBT installation,which are 0.00001791 mm/yr and 0.00001974 mm/yr,respectively.Since the corrosion rate has been decreased about 9.3%by installation GBT.
