COMPARISON OF ANCHORAGE SYSTEMS FOR RC T-BEAMS STRENGTHENED IN SHEAR WITH EB-CFRP

  The objective of this experimental research is to evaluate the performance and compare the effectiveness of different anchorage systems for reinforced concrete(RC)T-beams strengthened in shear with externally bonded(EB)carbon fiber-reinforced polymers(CFRP).The study considers two strengthening methods:(1)EB-CFRP sheets; and(2)EB-CFRP prefabricated L-shaped laminates,and various anchorage systems including CFRP ropes for closed stirrups.The findings reveal that specimens strengthened with EB-CFRP using well-designed and well-implemented anchorage systems can achieve enhanced performance,and thereby a more cost-effective use of the CFRP material.
