Estimation of Unsteady Incompressible Fluid Flow in a Pipe Using Lumped Parameter Model for Kalman Filter

  For estimation of power of unsteady incompressible fluid flow in a pipe,a new in-direct measurement method using a Kalman filter has been proposed by the author.A merit of this method is that only pressure signals are used without flow rate sensor.The Kalman filter uses a mathematical model of pipeline dynamics as a plant model to estimate state variables of the target pipe.In this paper,as the mathematical model of pipeline dynamics,a lumped parameter model is applied.The Kalman filter system is installed in a real-time computing system.CPU elapsed time of the Kalman filter is measured.The results are important for performing real-time measurement by the Kalman filter.
