Mathematical Modeling of a Multi-Land Slipper for Swash-Plate Type Axial Piston Pumps and Motors

  Dynamic motion and tribological characteristics of slippers with multi-lands and multi-grooves for swash-plate type axial piston pumps and motors were studied numerically.A theoretical model was established considering mixed lubrication and unsteady state conditions.A numerical simulation was performed and the solutions in the cases of the slippers with the single land.those with the inner land.those with the outer land.and those with both inner and outer lands were compared.The representative parameters were set as a supply pressure of 21 MPa.plate-rotational speed of 157 rad/s,and hydrostatic balance of l.l.In conclusion.the motion and characteristics of the single land slippers and the annex mner land slippers are similar.and those of the annex outer land slippers and the triple land slippers are similar.
