UNCERTAINTY EVALUATION FOR GPS SPEED METER OF VEHICLE
Increasing requirements for mass production and needs for calibration of vehicle speed-measuring devices call for the traceability of GPS(Global Positioning System)speed meter,and uncertainty evaluation is the key.The method to evaluate the uncertainty of GPS speed meter is given.Standard facility based on GPS signal simulator is designed considering the impacts on the uncertainty evaluation.The results of a laboratory experiment show that the uncertainty in the range of(20-100)km/h is less than 0.02%(k=2.00)and in the range of(100-200)km/h is less than 0.2%(k=2.11).It is proven that the uncertainty evaluation reveals the performance of GPS speed meter and gives the numerical basis for improvement.
