The History Testimony of Chinese Metrology:Dengfeng Observatory

摘要：

　　Built in 1276AD,Dengfeng Observatory is the oldest Observatory in China.On the basis of analyzing the historical evolution and related materials of Dengfeng Observatory,this paper discusses its value in history of Chinese metrology.The author thinks that Dengfeng Observatory is an objective evidence of ancient Chinese peoples effort to seek the coordinate central point of astronomical measurement,an objective evidence of some significant events in the history of Chinese astronomy,and an objective evidence of Guo Shoujings high gnomon measuring thought and practice.It played important rule in the history of Chinese metrology.
