Research on Overload Vehicles Controlling Based on Weighing in Motion System
Freight transportation is a primary component of economic growth with much of that growth attributed to vehicle operations.However,with increasing awareness of road maintenance,related safety concerns and other effects,it is essential to better understand overload vehicles in order to effectively diminish its harmful side-effects.Overload vehicle controlling depend on quality and detailed overload vehicle data to develop and evaluate policy to mitigate freight impacts.Weighing in motion(WIM) system is the best choice for providing data.There are over 4000km expressways in Zhejiang Province,and the application of WIM system has made progress.Some experiences and thinking are obtained in metrology working,and the paper shows the research results.
