Static and Dynamic Forces in the Incudostapedial Joint Gap
Background:Dynamic pressure at the ear drum is transferred through the ossicles to the stapes annular ligament(AL).In unventilated middle ears,static pressure is transferred additionally.The aim of this study was to measure the forces inside the incudostapedial joint(ISJ) gap at dynamic loads and for high quasi-static loads.
