Effects of Chronological Age on 226-Hz Tympanogram In Neonates

摘要：

It is well known that accurate tympanometric results cannot be obtained in the middle ear of neonates under 7 months of age using 226-Hz conventional tympanometry.Our previous study using a probe tone of sweeping sinusoidal frequency found two variations of frequency at around 0.3 and 1 kHz,demonstrating the presence of vibrating elements in neonatal ears.
