Middle-ear Forward and Reverse Transmission and Their Effect on the Otoacoustic Emissions in a Mouse Finite-element Model
Otoacoustic emissions(OAEs) are generated within the cochlea(e.g.,Kemp 1978).Once generated,they travel backwards and are partially reflected at the stapes and partially transmitted through the middle ear(ME) and measured in the ear canal(EC).
