OXALATE FORMATION DURING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE REINFORCED OXYGEN DELIGNIFICATION
The effects of various process parameters(alkali dosage, hydrogen peroxide dosage, temperature, time, and oxygen pressure)of hydrogen peroxide reinforced oxygen delignification treatment on the oxalate formation of Eucalyptus kraft pulp were investigated in this study. Results showed that almost linear relationships were seen between oxalate formation and the dosages of both alkali and peroxide.Oxalate formation process can divide into “fast and “slow periods.Furthermore, oxalate content in the effluent increased as temperature rose from 80 ℃ to 100 ℃,and then was stable.Additionally, the oxygen pressure was not a significant parameters compared to other parameters. These results would be highly helpful in optimizing peroxide reinforced oxygen delignification process, controlling the oxalate formation, and improving the product quality.
