Preparation of Boron Nitride Filled Thermal-Conducting Insulation Paper Preparation of Boron Nitride Filled Thermal-Conducting Insulation Paper
To study the thermal and electrical performance of BN filled thermal-conducting insulation paper,we prepared handsheets with different mass fraction of BN and testedits thermal properties, electrical properties and mechanical properties. In order to increase the retention rate of BN,we used cationic polyacrylamide(CPAM)and amphoteric starch(ACS)as retention system,Theresults showed that optimum dosage of CPAM and ACS are 0.03%and 0.06%.When the mass fraction of BN is 55.7%,the thermal conductivity was1.423 W/(m·K),compared to the blank sample increased by 447.48%.Accordingto thetypical thermal conducting mechanism series circuit and parallel circuit theoretical model, expanding contact area is the key to enhance the thermal conductive property. The volume resistivity and breakdown field strength also improved. The negative effects of BN is the loss of mechanical strength.Thereofor,BN is expected to have a wide range of potential applications in the field of thermal insulating paper.
