ASA EMULSIONS STABILIZED BY NANOPARTICLES:A REVIEW

　　Herein,the recent works about the ASA emulsions stabilized by nanoparticles were reviewed.The typical nanoparticles that have been used to stabilize ASA emulsions include montmorillonite,laponite,alumina,TiO2,Fe3O4,polyaluminum sulfate and cellulose nanocrystal,among which montmorillonite and laponite are two most extensively studied particle stabilizers,while laponite is undoubtedly the most competent nanoparticle stabilizer from the view of sizing development.The laponite can be used either as the sole stabilizer after being modified or as a co-stabilizer together with the other nanoparticles or polymers.Therefore,the emphasiswas put on the ASA emulsions stabilized by eitherlaponite or montmorillonite particles.
