STUDY ON MILOX SOLVENT PROCESS OF POPLAR AND THE MECHANISM OF DELIGNIFICATION
Formic acid pulping is a kind of organic solvent pulping method which has the advantages of high efficiency and low pollution, and has great potential in biorefinery.Milox solvent pulping is digested with formic acid and H2O2,and the pulp properties are similar to that of the traditional pulping method. The carbohydrate and lignin in cooking waste are easily separated and purified, and widely used.Formic acid concentration,H2O2 dosage, liquid ratio, temperature, and reaction time of poplar Milox pulping on the cooking process effect were studied in the paper. And the physical and chemical properties of cooking waste were tested, respectively infrared spectra analysis in residual lignin and dissolved lignin,to study the structural changes of lignin and provided theoretical reference for the determining the optimum technological conditions of poplar Milox pulping. The results indicated that the optimum conditions of poplar Molix pulping: formic acid concentration 80%,H2O2 concentration 2%,liquid ratio 1∶10 with one stage: 70℃,50min; two stage: 105℃,105min.The viscosity of cooking waste was 1.32mPa·s under 25℃,organic content was 19.42g·L-1.Because α-ether bond or β-ether cleavage has more non-conjugated and conjugated C=O group during cooking process, the dissolved lignin contain more primary alcohol-OH and secondary alcohol-OH,which were in favor of further utilization of lignin.
