Extraction of Allelochemicals from Enterprise Poplar APMP Effluents and Its Inhibition on Chlorella Pyrenoidosa
Among the various algal controlling technologies, the allelopathic inhibition of terrestrial plant controling algal blooms was considered to be an environment friendly biological method. In this article,The extract of enterprise poplar alkaline peroxide mechanical pulp(APMP)effluents was extracted by organic solvent and the inhibition effect on Chlorella pyrenoidosa was investigated. The enterprise poplar APMP effluents was collected from effluents concentration treatment workshop of an APMP factory and the concentration multiple was about 10 times which prepared for recycling alkali treatment.Ethyl acetate(EAC)and methyl tert butyl ether(MTBE)were employed to extract allelochemicals from enterprise poplar APMP concentrated effluents : the yields of EAC extract MTBE were 5997mg/L and 3593mg/L,respectively.GC-MS analysis of the extracts indicate that the main components of the EAC and MTBE extraction allelochemicals were organic acids, amides and esters, and the corresponding content of organic acid were 93%and 94%,respectively.The inhibition rate of algal growth was more than 30%,while the dosage of allelochemicals were 50 mg/L and 75 mg/L.The determination of the growth inhibition rate become difficulty to test because the frgmentation of algal cell while the dosage of allelochemicals increased to 100 mg/L and 150 mg/L.The difference of algae suspension absorbances between the suspension and 0.45membrane filtrate of algae indicate that the inhibitory effect of high dosage allelochemicals can kill the algal cell and cause cells to collaps. The results show that the allelochemicals from APMP effluents had a similar allelopathic inhibiting effect on Chlorella pyrenoidosa comparing to the allelochemicals from the plant organ. It is effective to using organic solvent to extract allelochemicals from APMP effluents was an effective way.
