Preparation of Lignin-Resin Composite with Purified Lignin from Spent liquor of Reed Ethanol Pulp
Lignin from spent liquor of reed ethanol pulp is purified and then esterified as a coupling agent substituting for MAPP(maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene)in the PP-WP(Polypropylene-WoodPowder)system.A two-step purification approach of Enzymolysis-Mild Acid Hydrolysis is carried out using cellulase and xylanase,subsequently,their performances are evaluated respectively.By varying enzyme dosage,pH and temperature,the optimum conditions for the two enzymolysis are obtained,where the relative purity of lignin reaches 92.25%and 96.85%.A further Mild Acid Hydrolysis is carried out to enhance the thermal stability which is confirmed by the following TGA.The purified lignin is modified with cis-butenedioic anhydride under different conditions.FT-IR is employed to assessing the modified results,which shows the reacting time of 7 hours,temperature at 60℃ and mass ratio of 1∶2(lignin ∶ maleic anhydride)are the optimum reacting conditions where the grafting degree hits the peak.The lignin-resin composite is then added in PP-Wood Powder system as a coupling agent to prepare PP-WP material which is wildly used in auto industry.The results of mechanical performance tests(such as tensile,impact and flexural strength)indicates that the PP-WP containing lignin-resin composite has advantages over the traditional PP-WP which uses MAPP as coupling agent.Furthermore,TGA and SEM results show that the thermal stability and interfacial bond strength of PP-WP with the newly prepared composite can also compete with the traditional PP-WP.
