PREPARATION AND RESEARCH OF MAGNETIC CELLULOSE/BENTONITE BASED HEAVY METAL ADSORPTION MATERIAL
Magnetic cellulose materials having advantages such as super paramagnetic, high biocompatibility, reproducible and easy surface modification become a boom research at present. In this paper, based on microcrystalline cellulose(MCC)and bentonite, the magnetic cellulose/bentonite composite(MCSM-B)can be prepared using the dissolution and regeneration of cellulose to embed Fe3O4@SiO2 particles and then grafting diethylenetriamine(DETA)and carbon disulfide(CS2).The adsorption properties of MCSM-B to Cu2+was discussed by a series of single factor experiments such as the initial concentration of Cu2+,pH value, adsorption dosage, reaction temperature and adsorption time. The results showed that the maximum removal rate can reach 99.8%within 150min on the condition of optimization of Cu2+adsorption.The adsorption process was best described by a pseudo-second-order kinetic model, while isotherm modeling revealed that the Freundlich equation better describe the adsorption of Cu2+on MCSM-B compared to Langmuir model.Moreover,MCSM-B not only had a good adsorption performance, but also expressed super paramagnetic to be separated very fast within magnetic field.
