STUDY ON ADSORPTION PROPERTIES OF CHITOSAN/CELLULOSE-BASED MODIFIED MATERIAL FOR Pb2+AND Cr6+

  In this paper,oxycellulose was prepared by using sodium periodate oxidation microcrystalline cellulose(MCC).Based on the mechanism of Mannich reaction,to produce chitosan/cellulose-based adsorbent(TSFCD)through cross-linking reaction of thiosemicarbazide(TS)with oxycellulose and chitosan(CS).Based on the same reaction principle,another kind of chitosan/cellulose-based adsorbent(DBFCM)was prepared by using 2,5-Dithiobiurea(DB).This paper discusses the influence of different adsorption temperature,time,initial concentration of the solution,pH and adsorbent dosage on the properties of TSFCD adsorption on Cr6+and DBFCM adsorption on Pb2+,and the adsorption kinetics and isothermal adsorption model of these two kinds of adsorption behaviors were studied respectively.The results show that it is propitious to promote the adsorption reaction in the extension of adsorption time within a certain range,the best adsorption time of DBFCM for Pb2+and TSFCD for Cr6+were 4h and 5h,the best pH was 5 and 3,respectively.The adsorption properties of DBFCM for Pb2+and TSFCD for Cr6+would be improved with temperature increasing,the adsorption capacity tended to stabilization when the temperature reached 60℃and 40℃;In a certain range,with the increase of the amount of adsorbent,the adsorption effects were also increasing.The adsorption processes of the two metal ions were in line with second-order kinetic equation and the Freundlich isothermal model.
