STUDY ON THE MICRO-AEROBIC MAGNETIC ACTIVATED SLUDGE SYSTEM SUJECTET TO MID-STAGE PULPINGl EFFLUENT SHOCK
The effect of mid-stage pulping effluent shock on the micro-aerobic magnetic activated sludge system used to deal with low load glucose wastewater was studied. The micro-aerobic activated sludge in the reactor with magnetic powder and the reactor without magnetic powder, were shocked by mid-stage pulping effluent for 16 days. Then recovery experiments were taken by feeding glucose wastewater for 12 days. After shocking by mid-stage pulping effluent,COD Crremoval efficiency of the effluent from the reactor with magnetic powder reached above 71.57%,and remained above 80%in the recovery experiment. However, the efficiency of the reactor without magnetic powder was only about 37.29%,and merely reached about 40%in the recovery experiment. After the micro-aerobic activated sludge was shocked, the flocculation performance and the surface properties of the sludge were analyzed. And the results showed that all the indicators of the reactors with magnetic powder were superior to that of the reactors without magnetic powder. After the 12 days recovery experiments, the physicochemical indicators of the sludge that was in the reactors with magnetic powder could recovered to the original value, but the indicators of the sludge that was in the reactors without magnetic powder could not recovered to the original value.
