PRODUCTION OF ALKALI-TOLERANT ENDOGLUCANASE BY HOMOLOGOUS OVEREXPRESSIO OF GENE EGLS IN BACILLUS SUBTILIS-Y106 AND APPLICATION IN IMPROVEMENT OF PULP PROPERTIES
An endoglucanase gene eglS,was homologous overexpressed in Bacillus subtilis-Y106 to enhance the endoglucanase production.The resulting CMCase activity of crude enzyme from the liquor fermentation of the engineered strain was about 10.2 IU/mL at 36 h of fermentation,which was 10 times higher than that of the native Bacillus subtilis-Y106.Molecular weight,optimal temperature and pH of the endoglucanase EglS were detected respectively.The enzyme activity of 85%could be maintained at pH 8.5.Potential of the endoglucanase EglS in improvement of wheat straw pulp was also evaluated.
