SWELLING BEHAVIOR OF DISSOLVING PULP IN NMMO/H2O SYSTEM
The property of fibers were investigated in terms of beating degree,degree of polymerization,fiber size under the reaction condition of 75wt%NMMO/H2O of concentration,100℃ of temperature and 40min of time.Increasing the beating degree from 19oSR to 46oSR produced more highly swollen cellulosic fibers.Although the more intense the pretreatment processes including Bauer-McNett classifying and enzymatic treatment were,the higher water retention value(WRV)became,it should be noted that the applicable processing condition was 70-100mesh and 2U/g respectively.For these three cases,the WRV of 46oSR fibers was found to be the highest(320%of WRV),while 70-100 mesh fibers had the least which was similar to that of pulp board(196%of WRV).
