EFFECT OF DIFFERENT ULTRASONIC TREATMENTS ON SELECTIVE ACID HYDROLYSIS OF CELLULOSE
The different ultrasonic treatments including pretreatment and synergy with acid did not only influence the selective hydrolysis of cellulose, but also had important significance in improving the quality of microcrystalline cellulose product. The effect of selectivity of acid hydrolysis on cellulose under different ultrasonic treatments was discussed in this paper.the size distribution, micro morphology, degree of polymerization, specific surface area, crystalline structure, chemical structure and types of hydrogen bond of hydrocellulose under different ultrasonic treatment were analyzed by fiber quality analyzer,X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),fourier infrared spectrometer(FTIR)and peak fitting. The results showed that the synergistic ultrasonic treatment with acid could improve the selectivity of amorphous region and crystallinity of hydrocellulose, which also had better selectivity of protecting the crystalline region of cellulose and rupturing the intermolecular hydrogen bond of cellulose. Moreover, the hydrocellulose obtained by acid hydrolysis of cellulose under ultrasonic treatment had lower degree of polymerization and average length, but also it had higher size uniformity and specific surface area without changing the chemical structure and crystal type of cellulose.
