POROUS CELLULOSE HOUSES FOR PROBIOTIC ENCAPSULATION
Advances in intestinal-targeted release of probiotic encapsulation system are always restrained by low loading capacity,burst release behavior and poor viability.Cellulose microgels with porosity up to 95%,prepared by the sol-gel transition method,were evaluated to extent the loading capacity and make more controlled release of probiotics.The prepared cellulose microgels were constituted by the interconnected network of the cellulose nanofibrils,which were house-like.The obtained house-liked porous microgels had the ability for accommodation of Lactobacillus plantarum(L.plantarum)higher than 1010 cfu/g.Two conjugation way of cellulose and alginate was reported.
