MODEL OF THE PAPER SUBMITTED TO5TH ISETPP
With concentrated phosphoric acid as catalyst,various polyhydric alcohols as liquefying agents,corn stalk powder was liquefied into bio-oil in a high-pressure reactor.The ratio of liquid to solid was5:1,the amount of catalyst was 6%,reaction time was60 min,new low-cost liquefying agents such1,2-propanediol,diethylene glycol and 1,4-butanediol and traditional liquefying agent(ethylene glycol)was used as liquefaction agent,respectively.FT-IR was applied to examine the functional groups of raw material and residues,whose chemical compositions were further analyzed by GC-MS.The results of experiments indicated that the 1,2-propanediol was liquefying agent when the reaction temperature was180 ℃,liquefying rate of corn stalk raised up to99.18%.the liquefaction rate of corn stalk in diethylene glycol was 92.74%under the optimum condition oftemperature 160 ℃,while the liquefaction rate of1,4-butanediol given 89.54%at 170 ℃.At the same time,ethylene glycol was also selected as oneliquefying agent,showed 87.00%liquefaction rate at the temperature of 180 ℃.Finally,the liquefying effect of 1,2-propanediol was the best.FT-IR analysis results It showed that the functional groups of cellulose,hemicellulose and lignin disappeared when 1,2-propanediol was used as the liquefaction agent.GC-MS analysis showed that the oil composition produced in this way was complex,containing organic acids and ketones,alcohols and ethers,aromatic,aldehydes and esters compounds.In addition,TGA analysis exhibited that the order ofthermal stability for the residue was ethylene glycol <1,2-propanediol < diethylene glycol < 1,4-butanediol when these four kinds of polyol were liquefying agent.
