PREPARATION OF CELLULOSE-GRAFT-POLYCAPROLACTONE/POLYCAPROLACTONE POROUS MATERIAL AND ITS ADSORPTION PERFORMANCE
In this work,polycaprolactone(PCL)and the composite of cellulose-graft-PCL/PCL(cell-g-PCL/PCL)were used to prepare porous materials(PM)by solvent exchange.The obtained materials were characterized by porosity analysis,scanning electron microscope,thermal gravity analysis,and tensile strength determination.The application potential of cell-g-PCL/PCL PM as adsorbent to remove organic compounds in wastewater was also investigated.Compared with PCLPM,cell-g-PCL/PCL PM showed higher porosity and better thermal stability,and its adsorptivity on organic compounds was greatly improved.The adsorption processes of both porous materials fitted with Lagergren pseudo first-order and pseudo second-order kinetic model.The result of isothermal adsorption simulation indicated that cell-g-PCL/PCL PM and PCL PM fitted better with Langmuir model and Freundlich model,respectively.
