Tunable temperature-responsive supramolecular hydrogels formed by carboxymethylcellulose-betulinic acid micelles
Novel supramolecular hydrogel systems based on the inclusion complex between the drug-loaded micelles and α-cyclodextrin were prepared in aqueous media.The hydrogel systems demonstrate unique structure-related reversible gel-sol transition properties at a certain temperature due to the reversible supramolecular assembly.The gel-sol transition temperature depended on the concentration of the micelle and α-cyclodextrin.Such an injectable micellar hydrogel with a unique structure and temperature responses would be a promising candidate for many intelligent delivery applications.
