STUDY ON DRAINABILITY OF SODA-ANTHRAQUINONE(SODA/AQ)PULP FROM RICE STRAW
The dynamic drainage, zeta potential and cationic demand of rice straw soda-AQ pulps were determined with a view to explaining the effects of mechanical treatment on the drainage performance. It was indicated that the yield of the screened pulp increased by around 12.1%in the case of non-fibrous cells. The development trend of the beating degree originated from beating depended marginally on non-fibrous cells, but greatly on pulp fibers, resulting from the fibrous deformation during beating.Beating to 75oSR made the cationic demand of the pulp increased to 88.2μeq/L for pulp screened-out non-fibrous cells, and to 67.5μeq/L for pulp un-removed non-fibrous cells. Also, fibers became increasingly electronegative rarely originating from the hydration took place in the surface of the fiber.
