Preparation and Characterization of Battery Separator Material with Glass Fiber and Glass wool

  The characterization of battery separator material with glass fiber and glass wool and the effects of the binder on material molding were investigated in this paper.The influence of the different ratios of the glass fiber with glass wool and the loading of the additive on the forming process were explored.The results showed that when the loading of the additive reached to 7%and the ratio of glass fiber with glass wool is 53:47,the battery separator material has an excellent property whose tensile index,absorbance height of ethanol,absorbance alkaline height and alkali absorption quantity can reach up to 24.68 N·m/g,99 mm/10 min,57.5 mm and 956.35%,respectively.
