Simulation of drag reduction performance for micro-texture on aero engine blade

  The drag reduction performance is very important for aerodynamics of aero engine wheel.In order to explore the drag reduction performance of aero engine wheel,an effort about drag reduction method for micro-texture on aero engine blade is undertaken in this paper.In this process,design of micro-textures for drag reduction on blades based on flow domain simulation is firstly proposed to determine the placement position of micro-texture on blade surface.Then based on the above design results of micro-textures for drag reduction on blades,geometric model of micro-textures on blade surface is established by using CAD software.Drag reduction performance for the geometric model of micro-textures on blade surface is simulated.Finally,drag reduction performance for micro-textures with different section shape on blade surface is compared to obtain section shape of micro-texture with the optimized drag reduction performance.The simulation result show that the proposed drag reduction method of micro-texture on aero engine blade is satisfied.
