The influence of laser-sintered parameters on microstructure of Al2O3/ZrO2/SiO2 and its thermal property
Alumina, zirconia and silica which are all bioceramics have been widely investigated due to their biocompatibility and/or osteoconductivity.A good control of the process parameters is inevitable to achieve the desired properties. In this study, the influence of laser-sintered parameters on the microstructure characteristics and thermal properties were studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffractometry(XRD)and Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC).Moreover, detailed investigations of the influence of the scanning speed on the physical, microstructure, microhardness and thermal property were presented. The results indicate that microstructure of the composite is greatly influenced by laser-sintered processing parameters. It was found that as the scanning speed was increased, the micorhardness performance also increased. The synthetically thermal analysis shows that the eutectic temperature of ternary Al2O3/ZrO2/SiO2 composite is 1,040°C,well meeting the phase diagram Al2O3/ZrO2/SiO2.
