Analysis of cutting forces in high speed ball milling of natural marble
In this study,high speed milling of natural marble were conducted with coated carbide ball mill under a wide range of cutting conditions.The effects of cutting speed and feed rate on the cutting forces in three directions were investigated.It was found that there is no obvious difference for the cutting forces in three direcitons,and the cutting forces decrease with the increase of cutting speed and increase with the feed rate.When the spindle speed increases to 4000r/min,the spindle speed and feed rate show an limited effects on the cutting forces,so high cutting speed and feed rate are recomended in milling of natural marble considering production efficiency.
