Numerical Study on Coal Combustion under Local Oxygen Enrichment of Oxygen-coal Double Lance
To reduce the cost and the emission of carbon dioxide,much pulverized coal is injected into the blast furnace to replace partial coke.Oxygen enrichment,especially,the local oxygen enrichment is the most effective way to increase the pulverized coal rate.In this study,a three dimensional coal combustion model is developed to simulate the lance-blowpipe-tuyere-raceway of a blast furnace.The oxygen-coal double lance is designed.The coal flow and combustion characteristics under the oxygen-coal double lance are investigated.Compared to other local oxygen enrichment ways,the oxygen-coal double lance is relatively simple,and the increase in the coal burnout is very obvious.The simulation results indicate that the maximum increase of the coal burnout is about 13%.
