Influence of Blank Holder Force on Formability in Hot Stamping Process
The blank holder force(BHF)is a significant factor in hot stamping process.The influence of BHF on formability is studied by experimentation and simulation.The chosen values of BHF are between 0.5 kN and 6.4kN.After hot stamping operation,the thickness of cup sidewall was extracted at the punch stroke of 20 mm.According to the results,with the increase of BHF,the minimum thickness of the hot stamped part decreases and thickness deviation increases.When the BHF is large,the fracture would happen at the cup corner.
