Regional innovation system and its application--Taking TusPark as an Example
Last two decades had witnessed critical development and progress of science and technology,as well as the blooming of various cluster science parks located of major innovative regions in China.This paper is written to investigate the use and effects of Regional Innovation System(RIS)and its application in the analysis of TusPark.To start with,this paper states the source of RIS,including regional economics,innovation economics and innovation system,and starts a discussion of different types of proximity,knowledge exploration and exploitations.Then this essay presents the framework of RIS,using the general framework of innovation system proposed by professor Liu(2001).The next part applies this framework to the analysis of TusPark.In the last part of this essay,this paper presents several challenges facing TusPark and a short policy brief to deal with them.Hopefully this essay will provide new aspect and application of RIS in further analysis.
