Cause analysis of exciter cover connecting bolt fracture happening in nuclear power plants

摘要：

　　In view of the failure accidence of Exciter cover connecting bolt fracture happening in Nuclear Power Plants,the failure of bolt was analyzed in terms of the metallurgical and fractogragh by means of optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and hardness test.The present investigation indicated that the fracture mechanism was fatigue caused by exciter cover vibration generated in the process of running.
