Service failure mechanism and in-service inspection countermeasure for PWR RCCA rodlets

  This paper firstly described the function,structure and purpose of the rod cluster control assembly(RCCA)for PWR nuclear power plant; then the failure mechanism was studied and the improvement was proposed for the main failure mode during it serviced,such as wear,swelling and cracking.At last,the countermeasure of In-Service Inspection(ISI)for PWR RCCAs was introduced.
