Electric Performance of Anti-guano Super-hydrophobic Surfaces
Insulators polluted by guano can have surface flashover accidents, which threat the stability and security of power system. The anti-guano surface of an insulator plays an important role in surface flashover prevention. Here,a simple fabrication method for super-hydrophobic surfaces(SHPs)are presented to prevent insulators from guano pollution. The morphology and wettability of this kind of super-hydrophobic surface was investigated via a contact angle meter(CAM)and field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM).We compared the sliding differences and other characteristics of artificial guano sliding on glass surface(Gs)and SHPs.Under 50Hz AC electric field, the guano adhesion experiment shows that SHPs have certain inhibition effect to the formation of guano discharge channel, which reduces the probability of surface flashover distinctly.
