A Prediction Model of Icing Shape On Conductors Based on Water Droplets Collection and Freezing Process
this paper presents a prediction model of icing shape on conductors of overhead transmission lines based on the process of water droplets collection and freezing. The two-phase flow model(Euler model)is used to solve the droplet collection process. Then, based on the mass balance equation and heat balance equation of water film in every local control body, freezing process of water droplet on iced conductor surface is solved. After that, the concept of local ice thickness growth rate and a method of icing boundary reconstruction is been put forward. Finally,In order to validate the ice shape prediction model, the simulation results are compared with the icing data of artificial climate room.
