The Study of Anti-galloping Assessment of Double Pendulum Damper Based on Transmission Line Test
The gallop of transmission lines affects the safety of the power grid,and is one of the key prevention phenomena of power grid.There are different measures for lines of different voltage grade.The main measures for 500kV transmission lines are to install double pendulum damper,whose engineering application effect is directly related to the safe and stable operation of 500 kV power grid.At present the study on the double pendulum damper is mainly in theoretical analysis and numerical simulation both at home and abroad,with the lack of experimental verification,especially the lack of anti-dance effect evaluation on the conditions of real test line.In view of this problem,this paper firstly establishes the experimental platform for the evaluation of application effect for the anti-galloping devices,based on the real test line with the grade of 500kV,in the key laboratory of state grid corporation of China on prevention technology for Transmission Lines Galloping.Then,based on the platform and the typical anti-galloping equipment,there are a lot of experimental contrast for the galloping characteristics of the typical line before and after the installation of double pendulum damper,including the threshold value of induced-galloping wind speed,galloping-conductor tension and galloping-conductor amplitude,and meanwhile it is analyzed that the relationship between these parameters and the wind speed.In the end,it is clear that the effect of double pendulum damper,which could improve the threshold wind speed causing galloping;meanwhile the double pendulum damper could suppress the line dancing when the wind speed is small;and may intensify the line dancing when the wind speed is large.Therefore,the double pendulum damper should be used with caution for the areas with sustained strong winds in winter.
