Application of Mechanical Calculation Model for Overhead Transmission Line on Strain Tower
A mechanical calculation model for the isolated span strain tower with tension insulators at both sides is constructed by oblique parabolic method.Considering the influence of elastic elongation and temperature shrinkage in icing condition,the equation of equivalent icing thickness is deduced.Then considering the influence of the wind loads,the wind plane is established.Based on the monitoring data of Online-Monitoring System on Overhead Transmission Lines of China Southern Power Grid,the equivalent icing thickness is calculated by the model when the power line is icing.Combined with the artificial icing thickness and the photos of the camera,the accuracy of the model is verified.
