Study on Anti-icing Effect of Light Absorbing Coating Applied to Composite Insulators
The icing problem of composite insulators has great research significance.In this paper,the anti-icing mechanism of light absorbing coating and its anti-icing effect on composite insulators are studied in view of the problem of icing on composite insulators of transmission lines.Silicone rubber plate is used to represent the surface of composite insulators.Coated with and without light absorbing coatings,icing experiments were conducted in the artificial climate chamber.The icing thickness and icing weight were measured and recorded.The anti-icing effects of different light absorbing coatings and different pigment proportion were compared.The experimental results show that the light absorbing coating can effectively reduce the amount of ice coating on silicone rubber plate,and has a certain anti-icing effect.The best light absorbing coating and the best pigment proportion are found by experiments.
