Study on Mesh Size of Carbon Fiber Tow Used for Ice Melting of Wind Turbine Blades
The use of carbon fibers in wind turbine blades for good thermal performance to fan blade deicing has good prospects and considerable economic benefits.In this paper,the heating property and the ice melting condition of the carbon fiber are deeply studied.The influence of the size of the carbon fiber mesh on the ice melting effect of the fan blade is investigated by numerical calculation.The results show that within a certain range,the size of the carbon fiber mesh has little influence on the ice melting effect;the influence of mesh size on the melting ice is mainly reflected in the influence of the heating uniformity of the heating element.
