Study on Icing Equivalent Model Based on Porcelain Insulator

  At home and abroad,scientists have done a lot of research on prediction model of icing-thickness,but most of them focus on guide line.Due to complex structure of insulator,the research on insulator still focuses on icing features where equivalent model research is very little.The article takes porcelain insulator as the research object.Icing insulator experiment was carried out in Chongqing university small-sized artificial climate chamber,researching icing equivalent model of the insulator.From the angle of water droplets collision coefficient of insulator,this paper proposes the calculation method of equivalent diameter,establishes the equivalent model of insulator and the calculation formula of icing quality of equivalent model,and does different icing tests in different environmental wind speed.The results show that based on the droplets collision coefficient of insulator,insulator has equivalent model of cylinder,and the diameter of the cylinder equivalent model is the equivalent diameter of insulator,which is different under the condition of different environmental parameters.The insulator external flow field characteristics can reflect the changes of the form of ice in the process of insulator icing growth better.
