A Study on Aircraft Pitch Rate Signal Reconstruction based on Signal Combination
For modern high performance fighter with a fly-by-wire control system,pitch rate signal is the key feedback for proper damp characteristic of pitch movement.Once the signal sensor of pitch rate fail,the longitudinal dynamic characteristics of closed-loop aircraft will be obviously deteriorated,even become unstable.So it is necessary to study on the signal reconstruction method in case of failure of pitch rate sensor.Based on the flight dynamics equation,a signal reconstruction method is established by combining other key flight variables signal.Besides,using the six-degree simulation model of a relaxed static stability fighter,simulation and calculation is conducted to prove the method effective.The result indicates that although the reconstructed pitch rate signal obtained with the designed method has almost the same shape as the real signal,there also exists additional time delay and phase lag,which makes damping ratio of closed-loop aircraft a bit lower.Generally speaking,the designed signal reconstruction method is practical.
