A novel replication consistency maintenance strategy in cloud storage system
The replication is a key technique in cloud storage system to ensure reliability and availability.But in cloud storage system,nodes are heterogeneous and dynamic,and there is a large number of update message in the replica consistency maintenance process,which increase the system management and network overhead.In this paper,we propose a replication consistency maintenance strategy,CMTree.The chord protocol used to exchange message,nodes in cloud storage system are organized into many groups as nodes in P2P network topology.To solve heterogeneous and dynamic issues,we select a super node for each group to manage other nodes.And we introduce the concept of replica update rate to build a consistency maintenance tree to reduce the consistency maintenance cost.Experiment results show that our strategy effectively reduce the redundant message during consistency maintenance process,maintain the replicas consistency,and guarantee the availability of system in the event of nodes failure.
