A Plug-and-play Implementation Method for General Spaceborne Device

  A Plug-and-Play(PnP)method for general spaceborne device is presented in this paper to aim at the demand of modular satellite.A smart unit named Intelligent Interface for Spaceborne Device(IISD)has been designed,which stores the operation information of the device in an extensible Electronic Transducer Data Sheet(xTEDS)and is able to analyze the commands from on-board computer and handle the data replied by the device.With the IISD,the devices manage to become PnP components by making no changes at all; therefore they could be automatically recognized.The success of prototype development has indicated that the method discussed in this paper can provide a technical support for modular satellite.
