Research on Dynamic Routing and Wavelength Assignment Algorithm for Optical Networks

  Routing and wavelength assignment(RWA)is one of the vital optical network issues of optical networks.With the tradeoff between the idle ratio and reliability of the candidate route,this paper researches a dynamic RWA algorithm for optical networks by introducing a factor of RWA dynamic weight to reach high demands of transmit speed and transmit quality.With the comprehensive consideration of the routing factors,i.e.,idle ratio and reliability.Simulation study shows that the proposed algorithm improves the performances of network blocking ratio,packet loss ratio and link utilization greatly,and the effectiveness of the algorithm is validated.
